Jennifer created this fun banner？by using some of？7Gypsies’； Butterfly Vintage Banners as a starting point and adding some vintage finds and other？on-hand？embellishments. She re-enforced the binding with some of our Waxed Cording and then attached the banners with some medium-sized clothespins. The letters that spell out “；spring”； were adhered to some chalkboard tags and then layered on top on some kraft tags. We also love that she kept the letters removable， so that they could be changed out to spell “；summer”； when the season changes!
The ends were embellished with burlap and silk flowers， wide ribbon， and paper butterflies. At various spots metal “；bug”； paperclips were added as well. The clothes pins were originally neutral so？Jennifer sprayed them black with Tattered Angels spray. Our Mists and sprays are just perfect for changing up the colors of your embellishments so they can match any project you are creating!
This banner looks just stunning draped from Jennifer’；s mantel， but banners are so versatile and can be hung in a variety of places- over a doorway， an old vintage window， from a table， or anywhere! Banners really are the perfect quick DIY décor project to brighten up your home for the seasons.
We’；re so glad you stopped by today! If you liked this banner and want to see more of Jennifer’；s creations， visit her BLOG or her INSTAGRAM. Happy Crafting!
Memphis is the name of a dynamic 1980’s design movement where bold colors, bending lines, kitsch decor took center stage. It was so cute in the store, so how come you don’t love it when you get it home?
The task of decorating your own home may be exciting and lots of fun, however, for many it is a rather daunting experience. If you are not planning to revamp the whole house but are keen to change the mood and feel of it, turning to textiles and soft furnishings in general is the easiest and probably the most cost-effective means of revitalising your living space.
