“;Soon after I moved house I noticed I was chewing through my phone data. Our internet connection seemed fine, and my phone appeared to be connected to it whenever I checked, so I was pretty puzzled,” says?Kristina Rapley, Editor of Your Home and Garden.?“;Our internet provider couldn’t figure it out either so I ended up getting a Noel Leeming Tech Solutions Specialist around and they quickly discovered our wifi connection was dropping in and out multiple times a day and the 3G was kicking in on my phone to compensate (unbeknownst to me!). The Tech Solutions Specialist suggested a newer, faster modem plus an Orbi range extender and even reconnected all our devices, and we haven’t had a problem since. What seemed like a big, complicated problem actually wasn’t at all – I just wish I’d called them sooner. ”?

Now that Kristina has her internet sorted she’;s got her eye on some fun new tech products that will save her time and make life more entertaining. Father’s Day is rolling around and I’m very excited to give my husband this gift. He’s absolutely the best father in the whole wide world to my two children and my best friend. I can go on and on about what he does for my family and why I love him, but I don’t want him to get a big head. =)

A number of years ago, we had a French intern working with us... the daughter of a friend of a friend - you know how those things go. She was a sweet girl with a lovely accent, and we had fun asking her for the translation of things we tag as "French": a French braid to her was an Indian braid; French cut was Brazilian cut; French fries were American! We didn't get into all the amazing sewing techniques influenced by fine French (or heirloom) sewing. There's the French cuff, French dart, French knot, French curve, French binding and today's topic: the French seam. Ready to give it a try? Wearing a beret is optional.

May is almost over…where did the time go? Seems like Spring just started yet we are already heading into summer here in NC. ?I’ve been really busy this month with a huge studio transformation that isn’t quite yet done…but while dismantling my studio I found to my delight some projects that required a little TLC.
